It was a small unassuming advert in a magazine which turned me, Eva Forss, into a candlemaker. This has been my life since 1999, an I am now based in premises at Kattastrand with a great view over the sound in Härnösand.
My driving ambition has been to create candles which are different. We have been striving to produce the perfect form.
Everything has to be right - not least my attitude to the day's work - being stressed is not the ideal starting point since the end product can, in the worst case, be ruined.
The ritual of dipping the candles time and again and just accepting the harmony of this process has taught me to accept the passing of time - and how to make great candles.
