Candle making

The two keys to success in making great candles are the right ingredients and the right temperature. I use a mix of high quality paraffin (which has a high melting point) and a vegetable crystal sterin. Paraffin provides the right basis and sterin gives the candle a lovely, intense colour which later on produces a highe burning point. After each candle has been dipped, the batch is lifted out ande placed into a new vat where the mixture warms up to reach 100 degrees. This produces the final shape by removing the lumps which form during the dipping process.
